SPECIAL EVENTS

Evening activities vary throughout the summer. Some are more active than others – concerts, skits, team adventure challenges, etc. – and some are more spiritual in nature – vespers, Sunday Service – and some are just plain zany – big theme nights such as medieval night, Carnival, or a Lonehollow version of the Olympic Games.

On Sundays we relax a bit more by sleeping in, and then participating in U-Pickem activities in the afternoons. These vary from popular classes available to those who aren’t attending them during the week – Dutch-oven cooking always ranks high! – to Paintball. Then we end the day with a Sunday service held in our lakeside amphitheater. A great ending to an amazing week of adventure, friendships and new experiences!

Once during each two-week term, we throw the regular schedule out the window, don our crew-colored gear and spend the day cheering on our fellow crewmen in field day events. It is a full day of friendly competition between the three crews in a variety of camp activities. Field day showcases campers skills and talents, as they demonstrate their abilities in nearly every camp activity. Field day events include everything from Archery to Cooking and everything inbetween. It is the culmunation of all the hard work and determination each and every camper puts into their time at Lonehollow.
