Forms, Forms, Forms – Help!
Camp is right around the corner, and we are so excited! This week, you will receive some camp preparation information in the mail (if you live outside the U.S., it will be sent by email). This letter will explain your next steps toward getting ready for camp and will include your invoice.
You will also have several documents uploaded to your online account. The following includes some of the most frequently asked questions about those documents.
The Lonehollow Compass
The Lonehollow Compass is our guide on everything you need to know about camp life and will be your best friend leading up to this summer! It will provide information about packing, transportation, daily schedules, traditions, and so much more. You will be able to find most of the answers to your questions in The Lonehollow Compass.
Forms will be due on Friday, March 1st. Most of these forms you will complete online, but you will need to upload or send a copy of your camper’s immunization record, insurance card, and a physician exam. The physician exam must be done within a year of their arrival at camp. If the exam isn’t scheduled until after March 1st, don’t panic! Just send us an email to let us know the date of the exam and upload the form once the exam is complete.
2-week, 4-week, and Sprocket campers will need to preference which classes they would like to take at camp. Classes need to be ranked in order of the camper’s preference starting with the class they want most and ending with the class they still want, but would be okay with not getting. Check out the camper blog this month for more information about picking classes.
We will not assign your camper a cabin until all forms have been completed and uploaded. If your camper is coming with a friend, please make sure that they both request each other on their Bunk Request. We look for mutual requests in the same grade when assigning cabins, but also want have a mixture of campers from different schools and cities in each cabin. Please note if your camper would like a top or bottom bunk bed. We try our best to accommodate all campers’ requests.
We reference your camper’s account often for information. Please check to make sure that it is updated and as accurate as possible, especially your camper’s age, school, photo, and grade they will be entering in Fall 2019.
We know this seems overwhelming! Please remember that we are here to help you throughout the process of getting ready for summer. If you have any questions, feel free to call (830-966-6600) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll help clear up any confusion! See you soon!
