A great camp provides gear for leadership. Lonehollow’s approach is to orchestrate experiences of the mind, heart, and body by guiding and growing all who participate in our camp.
Almost a decade ago, Meg and Clayton Clark envisioned building the most unique, one-of-a-kind summer camp in Texas. Meg and Clayton began developing the mission of Lonehollow. They dreamed of creating a haven for kids - a summer experience like no other- where they could escape the pressure and pace of city life, return to a simpler style of living, learn to appreciate the splendor of God's creation, break out of their routines, and challenge themselves to unearth hidden talents and interests.
In June of 2006, the most unique 3000-acre facility in the Texas Hill Country opened its gates to a select group of campers from the world over allowing them the unique opportunity to be part of this legacy. The summer of 2010 marks a unique opportunity for your family. Lonehollow invites you to join in on the experience of creating a one-of-a-kind uniquely designed camp. We want you to feel the excitement as you watch this camp grow, participating in the fifth camp season.

Become a part of this legacy.
Lonehollow Founders
Meg and Clayton Clark believe that summer camping is more important today than ever before.  Meg’s love for camping began in 1973 as a camper, growing as she moved on in her camping career, becoming a counselor and serving as the Director of Camp Waldemar for 10 years. Clayton grew up on ranches on the Texas Gulf Coast where he discovered his passion for hunting, fishing, and tending to ranchland.  During this time, Clayton also involuntarily gained knowledge of gardening and caring for horses and cattle. Together, Meg and Clayton intend to share with Lonehollow campers the same desires they share with their own children; to become geared for life’s journey by way of a highly personal camp experience, guiding them toward becoming productive and valuable members of society.

Camper Ages
This summer Lonehollow offers its program for boys and girls 7 to 16 years old. Each summer Lonehollow will grow with its current camper base and offer new and exciting programs as new age groups are added.

Guides
Guides at Lonehollow are appropriately named for their purpose of guiding campers toward deeper understanding and enhanced skills.  Each guide is chosen based upon his or her desire to focus respectfully on teaching children, love of outdoor activities, skill level for specific program elements, maturity, and his or her ability to be a healthy role model.

Spiritual Growth
Lonehollow is founded on Christian values and principles.  We offer non-denominational services and Catholic Mass.  Every camper will have the opportunity to be a part of the service through singing, scripture reading and storytelling.

Dining
Dining at Lonehollow requires participation in the full-circle concept. Our organic garden provides experience in planting, tending, picking; at times cooking and serving garden grown meals.  Lonehollow’s own resident chef and experienced kitchen staff serve healthy meals, organic when possible, that will surpass all expectations. Fresh fruits and salads are always available, as well as two snacks served during Re-Fuel in mid-morning and mid-afternoon.
